What’s Your Excuse?

What’s Your Excuse?

I know you’ve got one. You probably have one every day.

I know I throw out some dumb a$$ excuses when I don’t want to do something. Most of the time it’s just my self talk in my own head and I have to back track and think about what I really can do and why I’m even making the excuse.

Am I tired? Am I scared? Do I think that for a second I might fail?

Those are all reasons why we make excuses. It’s much easier to stay in our little bubble and comfort zone where it’s warm and safe. Stepping out of there means possible (and temporary) failure, discomfort, criticism, lots of stuff that sucks but only temporarily.

Stepping out of your comfort zone may be making it through your first training session. You thought your chest might explode or your legs would give out, but you did it. Then you came back for second one, and a third and before you know it you’ve lost 5 pounds of fat and you’re well on your way.

That’s the way it works with our clients. Everyone is scared. Some people just make the choice to actually show up and make the change. What’s your excuse?

I freakin’ love this video. It pumps me up every time I watch it so I wanted to share it with you. Enjoy and leave me a quick comment about what you think about it!
